Bits

  • Save Frequently (Audacity uses the .aup format, GarageBand uses the .song format)
  • Use the MP3 Codec to export
  • Use Audacity 1.2 (not the beta version) 
  • Audacity needs to have the MP3 LAME encoder installed
  • GarageBand is recommended strongly over Audacity
  • GarageBand has a whole ‘lotta features that I didn’t get a chance to demo - look at the tutorials on Apple’s website (particularly the podcast one)
